WHAT WE DO
Nieves Ministries is a nonprofit organization based in Aurora, Colorado, founded on the vision of empowering communities through faith, service, and outreach. Our mission is rooted in meeting the diverse needs of individuals and families through a variety of programs that promote spiritual growth, education, safety, and cultural connection. From humble beginnings inspired by a high school project, Executive Director Alexander Nieves, along with his wife Vanessa Campbell and a dedicated leadership team, have built a ministry that serves the community with compassion, dedication, and integrity.
PROGRAMS & PROJECTS.
Our programs include extensive community outreach efforts such as homeless ministry, food distribution, Bible giveaways, disability advocacy, and strong partnerships with local businesses and organizations. Through our education division, Vertex Academy, we provide an alternative learning model designed to support at-risk youth and students seeking a personalized educational experience. Our nonprofit security division, Pinnacle Defense, offers safety services to businesses, organizations, and events across the Denver metro area, providing professional security staffed by trained personnel committed to community safety. Additionally, through the Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of Colorado, we celebrate cultural heritage by hosting large-scale community events such as the Viva La Isla Del Encanto Festival, which brings together vendors, sponsors, performers, and families for a vibrant day of cultural pride.
Community Outreach
The Community Outreach program of Nieves Ministries serves individuals and families through food distribution, homeless support, disability advocacy, and spiritual care. Focused on meeting both physical and emotional needs, the program builds hope and stability for those facing life’s challenges.
Pinnacle Defense
Pinnacle Defense is the nonprofit safety and security division of Nieves Ministries, providing professional, reliable protection services for businesses, churches, community events, and neighborhoods. Our trained team operates with integrity and compassion, ensuring safe environments while carrying out the ministry’s mission of community service.
Events
Nieves Ministries hosts community-centered events that bring people together through cultural celebrations, outreach programs, and family-friendly gatherings. From festivals to seasonal activities, our events strengthen community bonds while supporting the ministry's mission to serve and uplift.
Puerto Rican Chamber
The Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of Colorado, a program under Nieves Ministries, was created to support, promote, and connect Puerto Rican businesses, culture, and entrepreneurs across Colorado. Through networking, cultural events, and business development, the chamber helps strengthen the local economy while celebrating Puerto Rican heritage.

Vertex Virtual Academy
Vertex Virtual Academy, an educational program of Nieves Ministries, offers alternative learning opportunities for students seeking a flexible, supportive, and faith-based academic environment. The academy empowers youth to succeed academically while receiving personal mentorship, life skills, and community support.
